For the U.S. Marshals you will monitor aircraft line maintenance and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform Pre- Post- and In-Flight inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.



Shift: 1st Shift (0500 to 1400, but will vary due to arrival and departure times).



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



+ Predeparture and daily inspections of aircraft.

+ Launch and recovery of USMS aircraft.

+ Pireps Log Book items.

+ Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.

+ Perform heavy line maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.

+ Perform any type of aircraft rigging.

+ Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, M M, OHM, SRM proficiently.

+ Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of A&P license.

+ Inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects, such as fuel or oil leaks or malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems, according to preflight checklist.

+ May perform repairs upon completion of flight.

+ All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE



+ High school diploma or general education degree GED required.

+ Must have a minimum of 5 years related aviation / aircraft experience and/or training.

+ Must have an airframe and powerplant (A&P) license.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.

+ Government background check through the US Marshals and DOT drug screen is required.

+ Active Security Clearance a plus.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORK ENVIRONMENT



+ Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.

+ Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.

+ Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
