PGS Worldwide is seeking an A&P Mechanic in Trumbull, CT for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The A&P Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, service, and inspect aircraft and engine systems. This role requires an active Airframe and Powerplant license, experience working from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals, and the ability to use test equipment to support aircraft maintenance and repair.

Required Skills

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing aircraft systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing engine systems.
  • Ability to inspect aircraft and engine systems as needed.
  • Ability to interpret and use wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work from maintenance manuals.
  • Experience using test equipment for aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to maintain required records, manuals, and inspection forms as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience maintaining FAA-required records.
  • Experience fueling or grooming aircraft.
  • Aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, and service experience in a production, flightline, or maintenance environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems.
  • Repair and service aircraft systems and components.
  • Use test equipment to diagnose and verify system performance.
  • Work from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals.
  • Support inspections as required.
  • Maintain records, manuals, and inspection documentation as needed.
  • Fuel and groom aircraft as needed.

Pay

  • $29.50/hour
