Accounts Payable Specialist

North Orange County | Onsite

$24 to $25 per hour | Temp to Hire

We are conducting a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist for an established company in the Orange County area.

This is a hands on accounting support position within a small corporate accounting team. The role is a good fit for someone with basic accounting experience who is dependable, willing to learn and comfortable helping wherever needed.

The company is open to someone earlier in their accounting career. You do not need to know everything coming in. Attitude, teamwork and willingness to learn are important.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit accounts payable invoice batches

• Verify invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy

• Process ACH and other vendor payments

• Process electronic check deposits

• Assist with incoming mail and accounting documentation

• Perform monthly benefit and other account reconciliations

• Assist with AP and AR activities as needed

• Work with accounting personnel across multiple operating locations

• Maintain accurate accounting records

• Provide general accounting support to the team

Qualifications

• Accounts payable, accounting or related experience

• Basic understanding of accounting processes

• Comfortable working in Excel

• ERP or accounting software experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail

• Dependable and organized

• Willing to learn new processes

• Comfortable being cross trained and helping other members of the accounting team

This is a temp to hire opportunity with the potential to become a long term position for the right person.
