The Big Picture
Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for making sure things are built right? In this role, you’ll be the key gatekeeper of quality—performing inspections on everything from raw materials to fully assembled products. You’ll help ensure every component meets precise specifications before it moves to the next stage.

Assembly & Test (all products)
Packaging (all products)
Paint & Shipping
Hydrotest, E-Cell (Building 16), Pipe Shop
And other areas as needed
Tools You’ll Use
From high-tech to hands-on, you’ll work with:
Visual, functional, mechanical, and electrical inspection equipment
Coordinate Measuring Equipment (CME)
Simple ultrasonic inspection equipment
Material handling equipment, cameras, and computers
Materials You’ll Work With
No two days look the same. You’ll inspect:
Raw materials, fabrications, and purchased items
Partially and fully machined parts
Assemblies, sub-assemblies, and castings
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Read and interpret work orders, drawings, quality plans, specs, purchase orders, shipping papers, and more
Use shop math to verify measurements and tolerances
Set up and operate inspection tools, gages, and fixtures
Perform first-piece, 100%, final-piece, and finished assembly inspections
Conduct leak testing, alignment checks, and clearance verifications
Record inspection data—manually or electronically
Spot, document, and help resolve non-conformances (NCRs)
Work directly with customer reps during witnessed inspections and tests
Disassemble, reassemble, stamp, grind, and clean parts as needed
Inspect packaging, crating, and loading of outgoing materials
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
Keep your work area clean and follow all safety rules
Wear a portable communication device when required
Testing & Inspections You’ll Perform, Review, and Record
Dimensional (in-process & final)
Hub pull-ups
Hydrotest, leak test, load test
Electrical assembly testing (cables, feedthroughs, etc.)
Coating and surface inspections
Shipping inspections
Alignments
Visual inspections (damage/wear)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able and willing to work 1st (7am–3pm), 2nd (3pm–11pm), and 3rd (11pm–7am) shifts. Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to realignment.
Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
