    Job Description

    Overview

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to inspecting and testing storage batteries and accessories in the manufacturing process or before shipment to verify conformity with mechanical, chemical, and electrical specifications.

    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Performs informal audits of the management system via random rotating floor time

    Serves as an informational resource for members of production and quality

    Participates in PFMEA and/or PLT as needed

    Participates as cross‑functional project team member as needed

    Participates in internal audit program

    Reviews management system documentation

    Enters document change requests into Trubox

    Visually examines batteries and accessories for defects and determines if specifications have been met.

    Records, maintains, and analyzes the data in order to aid the problem solving process.

    If deficiencies are found, will inform proper people and document via IPIR

    Participates in PV runs as needed

    Support Quality Specialist II with document alignment audit

    • Maintains regular attendance.
    • Ability to work mandatory over time.

    Performs other duties as requested by Management.

    Responsible for producing a high quality product.

    Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, Adequate educational background to facilitate growth potential; MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, Basic understanding of statistics, Excellent Math Skills; REASONING SKILLS, Ability to analyze, Good decision making skills, Recognizes irregularities and brings to the attention of supervisors; MECHANICAL SKILLS, Mechanical ability; COMMUNICATION SKILLS, Good Communication Skills, Strong interpersonal skills, Ability to communicate with Co‑workers; OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS, Ability to work independently without supervision, Well rounded battery manufacturing knowledge, Able to identify and define problems, Self motivated, Ability to work flexible hours, Good audit skills, Uses quality documents (control plans, FMEA, etc.), *Preferred 2 years Quality Auditor experience
