Job Title: In-Home Support Specialist for Individuals with Autism


Location: Monmouth County, NJ 


Shifts Available: Afternoons, Early evenings

Position Overview: We are looking for empathetic and skilled In-Home Support Specialists to join our team. This role is similar to working in a group home setting, providing direct support to individuals with autism in their home environment during morning and afternoon shifts. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their daily living skills, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
  • Implement individualized support plans that focus on social skills, communication, and behavioral development.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to foster connection and engagement.
  • Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to support plans.
  • Collaborate with families and team members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment during evening and overnight hours.
Qualifications:


  • Experience working with individuals with autism or in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral support techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus.
