Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ABB Robotic Engineer to support robotic automation and manufacturing operations. The role will focus on ABB robot programming, troubleshooting, integration, commissioning, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities
Program, configure, troubleshoot, and commission ABB industrial robots.
Develop and optimize ABB robot programs for manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot robotic cells, controllers, tooling, cabling, and production issues.
Integrate robots with PLCs, sensors, vision systems, conveyors, and peripheral equipment.
Support robotic welding, assembly, material handling, and machine tending applications.
Perform robot startup, testing, validation, and commissioning.
Improve cycle time, quality, safety, and OEE.
Work with Controls, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve automation issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
5 15 years of industrial robotics/automation experience.
Strong hands-on ABB robot programming and troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency with ABB RobotStudio and ABB robot controllers.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent PLC integration.
Manufacturing experience with robotic welding, assembly, material handling, or machine tending.
Strong shop-floor troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite on 3rd shift.
Preferred
Automotive, heavy equipment, engine/powertrain, or industrial manufacturing experience.
Robotic welding and automated assembly experience.
Robot commissioning and production-line startup experience.
Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience.
Vision-guided robotics or industrial networking experience.
