Job Description:
The Roger L. Jenkins Transplant Institute at Lahey Clinic offers a comprehensive, one-year Abdominal Transplantation APP Fellowship for newly graduated and experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
This structured, mentorship-driven program is designed to develop early-career clinicians into confident, independently practicing providers within the field of abdominal transplantation. Fellows are fully integrated into a high-volume, multidisciplinary team across all phases of care for complex liver, kidney, and hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) conditions.
What You''ll Gain
Program & Core Rotation Structure
The fellowship is organized into progressive, high-volume phases over the course of the year:
Phase 1: Foundational Learning
Orientation to transplant services, systems, and institutional policies.
Initial exposure to rounds, clinics, and selecting a scholarly project.
Phase 2: Core Rotations (12 Weeks Each)
Transplant Surgery: Focus on surgical and peri-operative care, bedside procedures, organ recoveries, and immunosuppression management.
Transplant Hepatology: Focus on chronic liver disease (MASLD, cirrhosis, HCC), pre-transplant evaluations, UNOS listing, and long-term follow-up.
Transplant Nephrology: Focus on medical management of kidney recipients and living donors, HLA immunology, donor-specific antibodies, and renal biopsy interpretation.
Phase 3: Elective Rotations (6 Weeks)
Ancillary or subspecialty rotations tailored to your career goals.
Phase 4: Capstone Rotation (6 Weeks)
An individualized experience with a graduated reduction in oversight to smoothly bridge the gap into autonomous, independent practice.

Pay Range:
$87,000.00 USD - $88,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
