Job Description

This position involves attending an ABF Freight-approved driver training school. Program graduates will perform the duties of a checker/driver combined dock/P&D employee.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED

Certifications:

• CDL-A permit

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain CDL-A with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsement.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Being able to work the required hours at this location will be considered a minimum requirement.

In accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the starting pay for this position is $18.25 per hour with overtime paid after 8 hours. Company-funded benefits are offered to full-time employees after a waiting period determined by local union standards.
