Academic Cardiologist - Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant - University of Louisville Hospital

Physician provides assessment, management and outcome evaluation for patients outpatient settings. Educates patients, families and staff.

TheUniversity of Louisville Division of Cardiovascular Medicineis seeking an experienced, board-certified advanced heart failure cardiologist to join our cardiology faculty inourHeart Failure/VAD/Transplant program. Heart failure cardiologists will perform biopsies,right heart caths,and care for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, mechanical support devices, and transplants. UofL Cardiology has been a successful transplant center since 1984 and is one of the region's leading transplant hospitals,performing heart, lung, hand, liver, kidney,andpancreas transplants.

The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the HF and VAD clinical service,including inpatient and outpatient settings(mid-level providers are available to help) and work collaboratively with our excellent surgical team. Responsibilities include teaching medical students, house staff, cardiology fellows, andanAdvanced Heart Failure fellow. The candidate willalsoparticipate in clinical trialsinheart failureand perform scholarly work.Call is shared within the Section of Heart Failure with the other two physicians.
