Hammond Middle and Upper School seeks a dynamic and innovative individual committed to teaching the whole child. Primary job responsibilities for the full-time Academic Coach will include providing academic support to students with organization, time management, and study strategies, supervise and monitor assessments in a quiet and focused testing environment, and maintain communication with teachers regarding student support. An ideal candidate would foster students' sense of accountability, independence, and positive academic habits. This person would work with students in the Middle and Upper School (grades 5 – 12).
We seek teachers who believe in differentiated and developmentally aligned models of teaching and learning to push students to their personal highest level of achievement. We understand the importance of instructional design, and we are attuned to the social and emotional growth of young adolescent students. All candidates must demonstrate the ability to incorporate a variety of instructional methods and strategies to address a variety of learning styles and possess a record of excelling in a collegial environment.
