The Academic Coach is an integral member of a team of professionals committed to student success. Illinois College is an institution uniquely dedicated to helping students from a wide range of backgrounds receive a stellar education. The Center for Academic Excellence is at the heart of that mission and seeks to ensure that all students strive for and achieve academic excellence and, ultimately, graduate from Illinois College. The academic coach's primary responsibility is to provide students with advice, coaching, advocacy, and connection to other support services on campus. The academic coach will work individually and with groups of students to promote academic excellence and goal persistence, with particular focus on transfer and non-traditional students.
