POSITION OVERVIEW
Upward Bound is a federal grant-funded project that provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The project provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelors degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. The Academic Coordinator is an integral part of the Upward Bound team. This position is responsible for creating and delivering academic enrichment programs that ensure college readiness, record keeping and for coordinating program recruitment efforts within the assigned schools.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Starting annual salary: $41,371.20. The final offer for the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience and may exceed the starting annual salary.
This position is funded through a grant and is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funding. Employment may be affected if funding is reduced, discontinued, or otherwise unavailable.
