Academic Cytopathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in conjunction with Rutgers Health and RWJBarnabas Health invites applications for a faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in the Section of Cytopathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The section is responsible for performance of cytopathology laboratory services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - the schools 650 bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The successful candidate will be a member of the Cytopathology team, consulting with clinical staff, as well as active participants in the educational programs of the Department including teaching medical students, residents, and clinical fellows, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. Subsecialty expertise in an area of surgical pathology is desirable, but not required.

An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidates qualifications and academic experience. Women and diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $390,000 to $520,000 per year.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidates educational background, skills, and professional experience.
