Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with first-generation or low-income student populations.
  • Familiarity with experiential learning models, career readiness frameworks, or cohort-based scholars' programs.
  • Experience with assessment, reporting, or grant funded programs.
  • Knowledge of student development theory and evidence-based student success practices.
  • Adept at problem-solving with experience supporting/advising students in personal and/or academic crisis.
  • Experience with EAB Navigate or a similar student success platform.

Job Description

The Coordinator for Scholars Programs supports the holistic success of students participating in university-supported scholars programs by providing proactive case management, coordinating high-impact programming, and ensuring student engagement with a structured, outcomes-driven experiential learning curriculum. This position works closely with Scholars to deliver just-in-time information, monitor progress toward academic and career milestones, and assess program effectiveness in alignment with institutional student success goals and external grant or foundation expectations.

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Scholars, providing individualized case management and proactive outreach to support academic persistence, engagement, and completion.
  • Monitor student progress across multiple scholars programs, including academic standing, participation requirements, experiential learning completion, and use of campus support services.
  • Maintain detailed student records, notes, and progress tracking to ensure compliance with program expectations, funding requirements, and assessment needs.
  • Identify students in need of additional support and coordinate timely referrals to campus partners. (e.g., advising, financial aid, career services, counseling).
  • Implement and support a structured scholars curriculum that includes experiential learning opportunities, career exploration, leadership development, and success skill building.
  • Collaborate with campus and community partners to facilitate internships, mentoring, workshops, and applied learning experiences that align with program outcomes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver scholars focused programming such as orientations, cohort meetings, workshops, community building events, and recognition activities.
  • Track and assess student participation, engagement, and outcomes related to academic success, persistence, experiential learning, and career readiness.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal leadership, grant reporting, and external partners or foundations.
  • Assist in Academic Engagement initiatives and programming.
