Position: Academic Foot and Ankle Surgeon

Department: Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation

Location: Worcester, MA

Our organization is in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained academic Foot and Ankle Surgeon (MD/DO) to become part of our dedicated team. We encourage physician caregivers from all academic levels to apply and join us in our unwavering commitment to healing.

As the largest healthcare provider in Central Massachusetts, we are the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School, granting you access to cutting-edge technology, research opportunities, and clinical trials. Our Department of Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation boasts a rich history of excellence in both clinical care and orthopedic training for residents, fellows, and medical students. You will find no other group of orthopedic subspecialists as extensive and comprehensive in Central New England.

  • Our foot and ankle service, which includes two specialized surgeons and three podiatrists, conducts over 1,100 procedures each year at our facilities and a newly established free-standing ambulatory surgery center.
  • Applicants must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery and eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
  • The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member dedicated to the long-term growth of the service.
  • There are opportunities for both clinical and basic science research. An academic appointment will be offered based on your education and training. Responsibilities will encompass clinical care, education for students and residents, as well as administrative and committee duties related to our medical school and medical center affiliations.

Worcester is centrally located, just a short distance from Boston, Providence, the Berkshire Mountains, Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as the beaches of Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. This vibrant city is home to nine colleges and universities, including the University of Massachusetts Medical School, which overlooks Lake Quinsigamond.
