About this role:
As anAcademicInfectious Disease Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.?
You will provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients at LDS Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center (0.70 FTE). This includes direct infectious diseases-related care for patients before and after solid organ transplant, patients with hematologic and solid malignancies, patients with general infectious diseases, and patients living with HIV.
Conductresearchandleadquality improvement projects focused on infectious diseases and microbiology that align with Intermountain Healthspriority to serve current and future patients with science(0.30 FTE)
Obtainandretainanacademicappointment withIntermountain Healthin the Clinical Investigator Track.Academicrankwill bedeterminedbased on experience.As aninvestigatoryou will be expected to publish your research,seek funding, and work towards promotion.
Teach University of Utah Infectious Diseases fellows, University of Utah and Intermountain Health residents, and medical students during inpatient consultation services.

?Whatyoullbring:
MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
Residency training in Internal Medicine
Fellowship training in Infectious Disease
Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease
Experience anddemonstratedscholarly interest in infectious diseases.
Excellent communication skills and strong teaching ability.
Ability and desire to support the quality improvement, teaching, and research activities of the Infectious DiseasesDivision and Intermountain Health.
Experience oradditionaltraining in transplant/Immunocompromised HostInfectiousDiseases.
Candidates withdemonstratedresearch success with peer-reviewed publications, extramural funding, and invited lectures preferred
Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Healths credentialing process
