Position Overview
The Division of Cardiology within our organization is on the lookout for an academic non-invasive cardiologist, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, to enhance our expanding team. Candidates with training or experience in Cardiovascular MRI/CT or Preventive Cardiology will be particularly valued. This position provides a chance to engage in the full spectrum of non-invasive cardiology within a supportive academic setting. Established in 1839, our institution is among the oldest private medical schools in the United States and serves as the sole academic tertiary care hospital in New York's Capital Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general and preventive cardiology practices in an office setting.
- Provide consultative services in the CCU and for inpatients.
- Specialize in cardiovascular MRI, CT, and/or echocardiography, depending on your training and experience.
- Engage in a comprehensive academic environment, with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows.
- Participate in or develop clinical and translational research initiatives.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including APPs, nurses, and technicians.
Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular diseases.
- Preferred training or experience in CMR/CCT or Preventive Cardiology.
- Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
- Ability to teach, mentor, and work collaboratively with medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
