    Description

    The Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) position with an 11-month academic appointment beginning August 3, 2026.

    Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor, depending on qualifications.

    The position requires teaching, service, and research to the Department/College, the profession, and the public. The position provides opportunities for an individual with a strong commitment to an academic career emphasizing innovative educational, service, and scholarly activities. Scholarly activity and service activity are required; publication and presentation activity, as well as professional and college services are expected. The academic responsibilities include teaching topics related to pharmacy law, practice, skills classes, and health education to students and residents as assigned. Traveling between the campuses of the Rangel College of Pharmacy is expected and common.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • The candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or doctoral degree in pharmacy or related field.
    • Completion of a pharmacy PGY1 residency or equivalent experience is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Completion of a pharmacy PGY2 residency, pharmacy academic fellowship, or extensive experience in pharmacy law is preferred.
    • The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to pharmacy education, including teaching in areas such as pharmacy law, pharmacotherapy, patient communication, and facilitating skill classes related to contemporary pharmacy practice, as well as health education.
    • The candidate should also demonstrate the potential to contribute to scholarly activities through publications and presentations, satisfy service requirements commensurate with the position, and be able to collaborate and work well with other faculty members.
