Position Information:

NWHSU is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Academic Records Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Registrar's Office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as a key resource for students, faculty, and staff, providing guidance on academic records, policies, and procedures while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of student information. You will play a vital role in supporting student success, maintaining institutional compliance, and contributing to the smooth operation of academic processes across the University. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative and problem-solving professional who is passionate about higher education and making a meaningful impact on the student experience.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.

Duties:

  • Process registration requests; adding, swapping, or dropping courses and assigning penalty grades as appropriate.
  • Initiate incomplete grade requests and extensions via Adobe Sign.
  • Process grade changes, and track and follow-up on missing grades.
  • Send out notifications regarding course drops and withdrawals after designated period.
  • Complete course room scheduling each term in coordination with Academic Deans and Department/Program Chairs.
  • Handle room scheduling approvals for external parties.
  • Create academic sections each term prior to registration opening with all academic dates, instructors, dates and times, and instruction mode details included.
  • Respond to or forward phone, email, and walk in inquires for the Registrar's department based on knowledge of policy and procedure.

What you need to have?

  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in an office setting
  • Experience in higher education or basic understanding of academic processes in higher education, preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with multiple software applications and databases simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Compensation:

$19.81-$24.27

The hiring rate is determined by a combination of education, related professional experience, and internal equity considerations and may exceed the posted range. NWHSU is committed to fair and equitable pay practices and does not base compensation decisions on gender or any other protected status.
