    Job Description

    Stony Brook University's School of Medicine is seeking an academic Rheumatologist to join an excellent and collegial team of faculty (7 Rheumatologists, 3 Allergists/Immunologists and 2 basic researchers) in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology for patient care, academic scholarship, and teaching. This position will involve both outpatient and inpatient care in Rheumatology, as well as mentoring scholarly activities for trainees and junior faculty.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Applicants must have a MD (or foreign equivalent). Board certification in Internal Medicine and be board certified/eligible in Rheumatology.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Preferred qualifications include a demonstrated interest in clinical trial research.

    Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
