Job Summary

The Academic Support Coach will work in collaboration with course faculty to achieve high outcomes in academic performance, licensure pass rates, and student satisfaction. This position engages students in early identification, intervention, remediation and other evidenced-based coaching strategies for improved academic success. The Academic Support Coach assists the student in the utilization of all available resources and processes.

Responsibilities

1 -

Meets with all at risk students to conduct gap analysis for the purpose of creating a success plan, monitoring student progress

Monitors at risk student performance and maintains regular communication with at risk students as well as their faculty member and refers the student to other academic resources as deemed appropriate

Refers students to additional GGC resources as necessary

Maintains detailed documentation of coaching activities and student progress

Provides ongoing support for nursing faculty in the use of student success tools and strategies in the classroom, clinical and laboratory setting

Support initiatives such as review of exams, prep for benchmark exams, etc.

Remains current with programmatic and national nursing curricular changes and NCLEX test plans

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree
  • Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with active license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • Experience in nursing/allied health education
  • Familiarity with ATI product see in Nursing

Proposed Salary

$25 - $30/hour; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate¿s experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
