Description Lipscomb Academy's Academic Support Program is looking for qualified and experienced tutors to provide in-person tutoring to students. Opportunities are available for all subjects and grade levels. For current Lipscomb University students. May be federal work study eligible.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and/or small-group instruction
- Contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement
- Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques
- Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
- Facilitate problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Collaborate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff to increase student performance
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner
- Manage student records electronically
- Maintain confidentiality of student records
