Ready for pasting into the federal grant portal: Description of Duties Members work with school staff to create enrichment and learning opportunities, adjusting duties each year based on needs and service gaps. Activities include developing literacy or math content, supporting classroom behavior systems, fostering safe and supportive learning environments, and strengthening social emotional skills. Members provide after school homework help, one on one academic support, and model positive behavior. They build developmental relationships during lunch and recess, assist with team teaching, chaperone events, and lead enrichment or culture classes. Additional duties may include tutoring, library support, preparing lessons, offering supplemental math instruction, coaching Battle of the Books, assisting with PE classes, lifting materials as needed, and representing AmeriCorps by wearing program gear.
