Minnesota United FC (MNUFC) is a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America. As a club driven by passion and community, we operate under the oversight of the U.S. Soccer Federation, a member of FIFA. Our headquarters are in Golden Valley, MN, with soccer operations based at the MNUFC Training Center in Blaine. On matchdays, we call Allianz Field in St. Paul home-one of the premier soccer-specific stadiums in the country.

Position:

The Academy Driver is part of the Sporting Operations department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

Position Summary:

The Academy Driver serves as a key member of the Academy support team, helping ensure players have dependable transportation and a positive experience as they pursue their development goals. This role provides safe and timely transportation for Academy athletes while fostering a welcoming, professional, and player-centered environment. Through consistent communication, attention to safety, and a commitment to exceptional care, the Academy Driver helps remove barriers to participation and supports the overall well-being of Academy players and families.

This part-time position is based in Blaine, MN and reports to Director of Player Wellbeing & Academy Operations. Local travel required.

By providing safe, reliable transportation, you'll help remove barriers that allow young athletes to fully participate in training, development opportunities, and Club programming. Your work will have a direct impact on player wellbeing, ensuring athletes arrive prepared, supported, and ready to perform both on and off the field. Working closely with players, families, and Academy staff, you'll be part of a collaborative environment that values trust, professionalism, and a shared commitment to developing the next generation of players

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for Academy players to and from training, matches, and other Club activities, ensuring a positive and supportive experience throughout their journey.
• Prioritize the safety, well-being, and supervision of all passengers by following established transportation procedures, traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
• Coordinate transportation logistics with Academy staff, players, and families while maintaining clear communication regarding schedules, routes, and any transportation-related updates.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of Club vehicles through regular inspections, accurate recordkeeping, and timely reporting of maintenance needs, incidents, or concerns.
• Represent Minnesota United FC with professionalism and integrity while upholding Club beliefs.

What You'll Bring:

• Clean driving record with a commitment to safe, responsible driving practices.
• Experience transporting youth, students, athletes, or other groups in a professional, educational, or recreational setting preferred.
• Familiarity with competitive youth sports and training schedules a plus.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety procedures, and passenger transportation best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and interact professionally with players, families, and Academy staff.
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage changing schedules while maintaining punctuality and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to clear criminal background check.
• Availability to work flexible part-time hours, including afternoons between 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM and weekends as needed based on training schedule.
• SafeSport certification (willingness to obtain).

Compensation & Benefits:

Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The compensation range for this part-time role is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (non-exempt).
