    Job Summary

    An organization is seeking a Junior Access Control Specialist (Part-Time, On-Call) to support advanced research, development, testing, and evaluation environments. This role focuses on facility security, visitor management, and administrative coordination within a secure, high-technology defense environment.

    What You Can Expect to Do:

    • Manage visitor control processes, including greeting and documenting all visitors
    • Monitor and control access to secure facilities and restricted areas
    • Verify personnel credentials, security clearances, and visit requests
    • Provide administrative and scheduling support for meetings and events
    • Coordinate logistics including meeting setups, communications, and resources
    • Manage IT/AV equipment for meetings and events
    • Arrange catering and refreshments when needed
    • Create and manage proxy badges and visitor access credentials
    • Process visitor requests and verify clearances using security systems
    • Enforce security procedures such as device registration and restricted item handling
    • Sort and distribute mail
    • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and maintain security documentation

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Experience with filing and document management
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to manage sensitive and classified information
    • Understanding of and ability to follow standard operating procedures
    • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and/or SAP/SCI access

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with DISS and BASICS II systems
