Access Control Technician

TradeSTAR is looking for an experienced Level II Access Control Technician for a growing opportunity with an established commercial security systems integrator. What You ll Do

You ll work on commercial security and access control systems while taking on increasingly independent responsibilities, including:

• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot access control and security systems

• Install locks, door strikes, mag-locks, panic bars, door position switches, power transfer hinges, motion detectors, and glass-break devices

• Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling

• Read blueprints and determine efficient cable paths

• Participate in site walk-throughs and communicate professionally with customers and project teams

• Test systems and troubleshoot installation issues

• Work independently while helping keep projects moving safely and efficiently

• Lead small crews of approximately 3 5 technicians on smaller commercial projects

What We re Looking For

You re a good fit if you have:

• 2+ years of commercial security/access control experience

• A valid Texas Security License

• Hands-on experience installing access control devices and security hardware

• Experience with mag-locks, strikes, panic bars, DPS, power transfer hinges, motion detectors, and glass breaks

• Ability to read prints and determine cable paths

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

• The communication skills to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and project leadership

• A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality workmanship
