REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications to be Successful in the Role:

. Strong experience with C# and .NET development
. Experience working with legacy ASP.NET applications, including Web Forms and/or MVC
. Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
. Experience remediating accessibility issues in web applications
. Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and/or 2.2 and Section 508 requirements
. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues involving keyboard accessibility, screen readers, forms, tables, dialogs, and dynamic UI components
. Familiarity with GitHub or similar source control platforms
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and standard deployment practices
. Experience working in Agile development environments
. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues involving keyboard accessibility, screen readers, forms, tables, dialogs, and dynamic UI components
. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills 

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with ARIA authoring practices and accessible UI design patterns.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Accessibility Insights, or similar.
  • Familiarity with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver .
  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Experience with SQL Server, IIS, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with automated regression testing or UI test automation.
  • Experience working in legacy codebases with limited documentation


JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for an Accessibility .Net Developer to work from their Burlington, MA facility on a hybrid schedule. We are seeking a .NET Developer to remediate accessibility-related issues across multiple legacy ASP.NET applications. This role will focus on analyzing, fixing, and validating accessibility defects identified through audits and testing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, legacy ASP.NET applications, front-end development, and web accessibility standards including WCAG and Section 508, and familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

Future Duties and Responsibilities:
. Remediate accessibility defects in legacy ASP.NET applications
. Analyze application pages, controls, and workflows to identify accessibility gaps
. Update HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and ASP.NET code to improve accessibility compliance
. Implement fixes related to keyboard navigation, focus management, semantic HTML, ARIA, forms, error messaging, tables, and dynamic content
. Work from audit findings, defect backlogs, and QA feedback to prioritize and complete remediation tasks
. Partner with QA and business teams to validate fixes and minimize regression risk
. Support manual and automated accessibility testing efforts
. Participate in code reviews, source control, build, and deployment processes
. Work within Agile delivery teams and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and status updates
. Document remediation approaches, technical constraints, and reusable patterns

Work Environment: This is a project supporting a state agency's public-facing data platform. The developer will work within an established codebase and will be expected to ramp up quickly on existing patterns and architecture. Strong communication and the ability to work independently are essential
