We are currently seeking to fill one (1) Account Clerk Supervisor vacancy with the Employment and Human Services Department, however, the eligible list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill other department vacancies as they arise.
The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six (6) months.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency or a high school proficiency certificate.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or its equivalent experience in the preparation and processing of accounting documents and in the maintenance of accounting records, including two (2) years at the Account Clerk-Advanced level, or higher, in Contra Costa County or equivalent classification.
Substitution for Experience: Completion of 12 semester or 18 quarter units in accounting from an accredited college or university can be substituted for one year of the required experience.
There is no substitution for the two years required at the Account Clerk-Advanced level, or higher, in Contra Costa County or equivalent classification.
Selection Process
Application Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application, applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.
Online Multiple-Choice Assessment: Candidates who possess the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an online multiple-choice assessment. The assessment will be conducted online to measure candidates; competencies as they relate to the Account Clerk Supervisor classification. These may include but are not limited to: Decision Making, Oral Communication, Informing, Using Technology, Coaching and Developing Others, Attention to Detail, and Critical Thinking. (Weighted 100%)

CONVICTION HISTORY

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER

Per Personnel Management Regulation (PMR) Rule 718, the eligible list established from the Account Clerk Supervisor may be used for alternative certification purposes to fill other accounting classification vacancies. To be considered, you must first successfully complete the recruitment process and be placed on the Account Clerk Supervisor eligible list. If a vacancy arises in another classification, you may be referred and contacted for an interview. If you interview with the department and are selected for permanent hire on the alternate certification, your name will be removed from the Account Clerk Supervisor eligible list. This option, for alternate certification is only available to candidates who do not currently hold permanent status in the Account Clerk - Experienced Level or Account Clerk - Advanced Level classifications.
