Account Executive

The Account Executive will manage, grow and expand the TGaS portfolio of services within assigned accounts by developing relationships with key decision makers within emerging life sciences companies.  You will think strategically about client organizations of all sizes and understand how to unlock growth opportunities in those accounts.  You will need to connect and partner with Solution Leaders to leverage their expertise to create both integrated and stand-alone TGaS offerings and open doors for these subject matter experts.  In this role you will provide vision and direction for identifying and qualifying leads on behalf of TGaS Advisors.

Job Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Vice President of the emerging segment, the Account Executive is the overall account lead for 15-20 emerging life sciences accounts representing over $3 million plus in annual segment revenue.

• Within the assigned accounts, be the primary advisor for the Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Commercial Operations and their functional team through advisory and peer-to-peer membership services.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for membership services with assigned clients to ensure a high level of membership engagement, satisfaction and sustained long-term relationships.

• Actively engage and prospect with Heads of Market Access, Medical Affairs and the functional teams to identify and close additional Solution memberships and projects in assigned accounts.

• Oversee the contracted business, advisory services and business development efforts across all TGaS Advisors Solutions (commercial operations, market access, medical affairs).

• Identify and secure meetings for TGaS Solution SMEs to sell ad hoc benchmark and projects within assigned accounts.  Provide oversight for the pitch meetings, proposal development and SOW execution.  Provide oversight for contracted solution projects/benchmarks partnering internally with TGaS Solution and Operations support.

• Create account plans for assigned clients in collaboration with the VP of the emerging segment that drives membership engagement, advisory support and new selling opportunities.  Review plans quarterly to determine where adjustments may be required.

• Maintain professional and up-to-date knowledge in the assigned targeted accounts and TGaS service capabilities to service as a basis for providing “value added” expanded services to all appropriate clients.

• Participate in weekly elsN sales meetings and provide updates on current short- and long-range revenue pipeline of opportunities, timing and likelihood to close, and current revenue forecast.  Review current engagement and identify potential new opportunities.

• You will be a TGaS business unit liaison with broader Trinity Life Sciences Account Leads and Team to assist in building relationships, forming strategic partnerships to identify and enable business opportunities for Trinity Life Sciences offerings.

• Actively research, synthetize and communicate current trends and changes in the industry.  Position yourself as a thought partner with clients.  Actively network to develop strong client relationships to be a trusted advisor and credible business partner.

• Effectively lead and deliver onboarding meetings with new clients.  Train client on all aspects of the TGaS elsN membership including; level, components, features, TGaS Portal access and search capabilities of the benchmark database.

• Conduct regular meetings (monthly, quarterly, annually) with all assigned clients.  Meet with Commercial Operations Leader and functional leads to identify client priorities and align membership/advisory services delivery. Identify new selling opportunities for additional Solution memberships and project work.  Coordinate with TGaS Solution accordingly.

• Lead the annual client contract renewal process.  Align with VP of the Emerging segment and Solution leaders on pricing and approach.  Develop statements of work, lead renewal negotiations and document status in TGaS system and reports.  Close and allocate revenue in accordance with standard process & procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, life sciences, or related field.

• Proven 8 to 10 years combined commercial operations or vendor side experience in related business development/account management experience in support of life sciences organizations.

• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations, marketing, market access and medical affairs

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders

• Experience in negotiating and closing business deals

• Ability to development and execute business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate broadly across an organization to gain alignment securing new and existing business opportunities and influence without authority.

• Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities, evaluate risks, and make data-driven decisions.
• Candidates may have held a commercial position in a pharma company (ideally emerging company)

Trinity’s salary bands account for a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets and market demand for skills, level of experience and training, specific qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and other business/organizational needs. The base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $192,000 per year. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
