Summary:
The Vacaville Reporter , a a proud subsidiary of MediaNews Group is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to connect regional businesses with cutting-edge multimedia advertising solutions. From print to state-of-the-art digital media, you will design custom marketing strategies that deliver real results for your clients. We are looking for a self-motivated hunter who loves building relationships, discovering client needs, and smashing sales goals.
What you will do:
Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or category
Possess a thorough knowledge of the digital product portfolios; produce needs analysis and use knowledge to overcome customer objections to result in sales growth
Understand how the competition sells their products and services
Keep records of products sold and look for ways to increase revenue potential
Create market presentations and sales proposals while working with the client's budget
Actively pursue and maintain an understanding of new digital trends in the media industry
Analyze and interpret key sales metrics
Travel within given territory to meet with clients
What you will bring:
Proven track record of success in driving revenue
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
New business development skills preferred
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Previous experience in a sales environment required
Direct experience with advertising and digital campaigns preferred
Benefits and Compensation:
The hourly range is $18.00 - $19.00 + cell phone stipend, and commission (OTE $50,000-$60,000+). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
