We are looking for a talented Account Management Specialist to join our team specializing in sales for our Cummins' business in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by supporting the account team in understanding customer needs and delivering a consistent, positive customer experience.

Coordinate and support customer visits, negotiations, and ongoing communication to ensure alignment across all touchpoints.

Curate and organize customer‑specific data and insights that clearly articulate Cummins' value and benefits.

Provide timely information and analysis to support contract negotiations, implementation, and account execution.

Serve as the voice of the customer internally, championing customer needs to drive stronger relationships and long‑term value.

Enable revenue growth by supporting account strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to cost‑reduction initiatives.

Maintain accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and CRM data to track progress against revenue, share, and receivables targets.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance inventory, service, and delivery capabilities with customer expectations while executing the Cummins Sales Process.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Customer‑centric communication and trust building: Value diverse perspectives, communicate clearly to different audiences, and build trust through integrity and accountability.

Strong value articulation and sense‑making: Translate customer needs into clear value propositions by synthesizing complex information into tailored, differentiated solutions.

Commercial and channel acumen: Understand industry dynamics, pricing strategy, and routes to market to support effective account planning and competitive positioning.

Disciplined sales execution: Drive results through accurate forecasting, proactive pipeline management, and consistent follow‑through on commitments.

Education/Experience:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales or a related subject or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Basic relevant work experience required.

  • Customer-facing experience preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Responsibilities includes volume forecasting, responding to customer requests and being the first point of escalation for queries related to order, project timings, delivery, debit, quotes, pricing etc. Support CES Account Management as needed.

  • Ability to manage data sets to glean insights, familiarity with analytics tools, Excel advantageous to have

Compensation
