Job description
JNS Facility Maintenance is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Account Manager. For 30 years, JNS has been operating in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as a local family-owned and operated janitorial service company.
The ideal Account Manager will travel locally to multiple client sites, and manage diverse clients with specialized needs. Importantly, this is not a sales role but rather focuses on fostering and nurturing relationships with current clients.
An Account Manager must possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to engage clients effectively. Conflict management is crucial. The role involves occasional after-hours availability for urgent calls and flexibility during high-demand periods. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Sales Director.
Job Responsibilities
Client Management
- Collaborates with peers and supervisors to establish and maintain excellent service levels
- Communicates with the Field Manager about any client needs or issues
- Maintains and fosters relationships with prospective and current clients
- Routinely visits and engages with clients
- Responds professionally and promptly to client needs
- Hands-on inspections of accounts with clients
- Ensures client is satisfied with overall service
- Responds to emergency calls, coordinates prompt action, and communicates to necessary individuals
Sales and Bidding
- Performs walk-throughs and gathers information for bid
- Creates scope of work for new account based on bid package
- Presents bid to the client and follows up
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivated, self-starter
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Fluid customer interaction at all levels of the organization
- Ability to present, explain, or train in formal and informal settings
- Good attendance record and ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Previous experience in business management or account management
