Primary Role:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager works collaboratively with the Risk Consultants and Account Executives managing a book of business.Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for property/casualty clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrierrelationshipsand understanding client needs. Serves asday to daycontact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a book of insurance business,routine client requests, and some moderately complex client accounts independentlywhile acting with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making
Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations
Providesa high levelof support toProducers, Senior AccountManagersand/or Account Executivesin obtaining,maintaining, and expanding business, can resolve common issues with limited guidance
May alsobe responsible foraccount rounding andin accordance withstandard practices, policies, and procedures
Works closely withProducersand other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to HUB Broker Standards
Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
Acquiresunderstanding of clients’ insuranceobjectivesand critically analyzes and compares insurance plans todeterminesuitability. Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that mayimpacttheir clients. Understands with to escalate complex issues
Makesappropriate recommendationsto clients in response to those changes
Acts asliaisonbetween clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation andexperience basedjudgment to resolve. May also negotiate with underwriters and carriers
Troubleshoots billing issues
Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business
Organizesand attendsclient meetings when necessary
Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and broker managementsystemwhen necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems
Prepares reports for management as
Oversees functions performed by Account Administrators as
Supports, mentors, and trains Account Administratorsandnew staff,as necessary
Attends industry related continuing education training and courses
Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

Experience and Education
At least 3 years of experience in an Account Manager/Account Administrator role ininsuranceenvironment.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not
P&C License required or able to obtain within60daysfrom hire
Advanced professional designation preferred or in progress (e.g. CISR, AAI, ARM,CIC, CPCU)

Public Speaking/Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence. Ability to speakeffectivelycustomers and teammates.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.
Math Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel,Wordand Power Point; followguidelines on working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency with your team.
This is a hybrid role, requiring four days per week in the office and Fridays work from home.
