Job Title: Digital Account Manager II
Location: Mettawa, IL 60045 (Hybrid 3 days onsite & 2 days remote)
Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)
Shift Timing: 1st shift, Monday Friday, Standard business hours

Salary: $41 per hour .

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, client services, marketing, communications, or digital project delivery, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or another regulated industry. Website experience is required.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted day-to-day contact and ensuring client needs, expectations, and priorities are clearly understood and addressed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex project details, timelines, risks, recommendations, and regulatory considerations clearly to both clients and internal teams.
  • Experience managing client communications and expectations across multiple stakeholders, including account, creative, development, editorial, medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of website update and production workflows, including requirements gathering, content development, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review, approvals, quality assurance, launch, and post-launch support.
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical website requirements, including promotional and non-promotional content, approved claims, fair balance, references, mandatory safety information, product labeling, and appropriate escalation of compliance concerns.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client requests, timelines, review cycles, approvals, competing priorities, and project documentation accurately and efficiently.

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements that would be nice to have- but not required?
  • Familiarity with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review platforms and processes, including tools such as Veeva Vault PromoMats or comparable systems.
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance processes for digital channels, including the appropriate handling and escalation of adverse events, product complaints, and medical inquiries.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, web publishing tools, digital project-management platforms, and website update processes.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and digital marketing, including HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility, analytics, SEO, GEO, tagging, and digital measurement within a regulated environment.

Job Description
Digital Account Manager II Ad Agency -- Contract
PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES
The Digital Account Manager II serves as the liaison between the Client Ad Agency and their assigned accounts. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships across the Agency, working in partnership with cross-functional teams, account leadership, creative staff and external resources/suppliers. The position leads the production of digital assets, as well as strategic planning for cross-functional teams to meet their business objectives.

Knowledge / Skills
  • In-depth understanding of digital tactical development with the ability to provide guidance to cross-functional teams for how best to implement digital projects including, but not limited to, interactive visual aids, emails, banner ads, websites, mobile applications, portals, etc.
    • Website experience is required.
  • Functional knowledge of Digital marketing platforms.
  • Recommend digital tactics that align with the strategy and goals of the brand.
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of the Agency Workflow Process including project initiation and kickoff, collaboration, content creation/development, necessary approvals, production and archiving.
  • Review creative development throughout the project lifecycle to ensure specifications, client expectations, budgets, timelines, etc. are being adhered to.
  • In-depth understanding of how to gather and document digital project requirements, working cohesively with Agency team members to ensure best-in-class execution.
  • Collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment with assigned accounts, external agencies and consultants, Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Medical/Regulatory/Legal (MRL).
  • Maintain knowledge of Client guidelines including, but not limited to, branding, promotional material development, material review process, and corporate compliance.
  • Demonstrate critical creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Display clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task to enhance productivity and manage workload.
  • Lead, or assist in, the development of annual scope documents and annual forecasting.
  • Demonstrate leadership in conflict resolution to facilitate effective outcomes.

Project/Process Management
  • Assist with A level projects and manage B and C level projects within assigned business group.
  • Attend client meetings, serving as a key point of contact to ensure key information is quickly communicated to all stakeholders involved.
  • Facilitate ongoing, timely and accurate communications to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as the digital lead for assigned business group.
  • Manage or assist in the creation of project estimates and timelines.
  • Assist with billing and ensure billing is completed on schedule.
  • Track time daily.
  • Possess ability to work in a high-volume, rapidly paced environment.

Accountability / Scope
  • Reports onsite to Client Ad Agency Group Account Supervisor, Digital.
  • Partners with creative team and project manager on project initiatives.
  • Adherence to all company-wide financial policies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • 3-6 years of ad agency account management experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical industry and/or digital experience a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills: verbal, presentation, written.
  • High energy, positive, organized individual who is comfortable in a high-visibility role.
  • Ability to manage high volume project scope in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Great collaborator with ability to focus on the small details.
