Overview

The Account Manager – Janitorial Services is responsible for overseeing day-to-day janitorial operations for assigned accounts while ensuring exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, and contract compliance. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and leads on-site teams to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

Compensation: $41,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars)

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Oversee daily janitorial operations, ensuring all services are delivered according to contract specifications
  • Supervise, train, and support janitorial staff, including scheduling, performance management, and coaching
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards, safety requirements, and compliance are met
  • Address client inquiries, service requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, and coverage for call-outs or absences
  • Monitor labor hours, equipment usage, and supply inventory to manage costs and support budget goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and local/state regulations
  • Prepare reports, document service levels, and communicate updates to management as needed
  • Support contract renewals, service enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in janitorial, facility services, or building maintenance management
  • Prior experience managing employees in a service-based or operations environment
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to lead teams, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and basic computer applications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some locations
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites, as required
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to walk job sites, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 25–40 lbs
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call support as needed
