Job Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for daily sales calls to new and existing customers within an assigned sales territory and for generating new sales growth and opportunities. The Account Manager will partner with the Director of Sales to develop and implement sales strategies for increasing sales and profits within an assigned sales territory. The Account Manager is responsible for keeping up-to-date on product features and benefits and presenting accurate and timely information to customers to promote product lines and Company services.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively schedule daily appointments with new and existing customers to promote products and services. Proactively drive sales leads to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Update customer account information/sales calls/project information daily into Company CRM (Sell).
  • Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on current and new products including features and benefits by attending product training webinars, reading product specifications, and building relationships with vendor contacts.
  • Partner with Service Representative within assigned territory to deliver product displays and regularly check in with customers for feedback on displays.
  • Provide regular reporting and sales updates to Director of Sales.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or construction management or related field preferred.
  • Previous sales experience required and a combination of building materials knowledge and flooring installation highly desired.
  • Flooring industry experience required.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and must have a vehicle capable of carrying large representation of Company samples and products.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of driving in a vehicle and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 (flooring samples) pounds at times.
  • Travel to customer locations within assigned territory and company branch and distribution locations required.
