\nRole Summary
\nThe Commercial Lines Account Manager will be focused primarily on new business. You will be at the center of our submission and bind process. You will work closely with our producers, carrier portals and underwriters, and serve as a trusted point of contact for our clients. This is not an entry-level role. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch environment and take accountability your work, you will fit right in.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nNew Business Support
\n• Partner with commercial producers on new business opportunities: applications, quoting, proposal preparation, binding, and payment.
\n• Package and market applications to carrier underwriters, negotiate terms, and follow through to policy delivery.
\n• Bring creative problem-solving to each risk. Think beyond standard markets and find solutions when the obvious answer isn’t available.
\n• Issue certificates of insurance, evidence of property insurance, endorsements, and other policy documents with accuracy and speed.

Renewals & Retention
\n• Assist with assigned renewal commercial accounts, including coverage reviews, re-marketing, proposal preparation, and binding.
\n• Prepare summaries of insurance, coverage schedules, and renewal proposals for account review meetings.
\n• Verify policy accuracy and completeness at every stage; identify gaps and proactively flag issues.
\nClient & Carrier Relations
\n• Serve as a primary client contact for service requests, coverage questions, billing issues, and claims assistance.
\n• Build and maintain strong working relationships with carrier underwriters to facilitate smooth renewals and new business placement.
\nOperations & Compliance
\n• Maintain accurate and up-to-date account files in AMS360 across all transactions, communications, and activities.
\n• Manage workflow and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines across a high-volume book of business.
\n• Maintain active PA Property & Casualty license and meet all continuing education requirements.
\n• Stay current on carrier appetites and market conditions to inform placement strategy and client recommendations.
\nWhat We’re Looking For
\n• 2+ years of commercial lines account management or customer service experience at an independent agency, brokerage or carrier.
\n• Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty license or other industry Designations (AINS, AIS, CPCU, etc.)
\n• Strong working knowledge of Commercial Property, General Liability, BOP, and related coverages.
\n• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, clear, and responsive.
\n• Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of accuracy under pressure.
\n• Self-directed with strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
\n• Collaborative team player who also knows how to own their workload independently.
\n• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
\n• Experience with Vertafore AMS360 is a bonus.
