Account Managers working in our Wichita office are client service counselors who support existing clients throughout each insurance renewal cycle while managing day-to-day tasks and projects. Account Managers are also time management, process, and technology experts who constantly improve their ability to use agency and carrier systems. They are carrier and coverage experts who use their expertise to solve problems.
Salary Range: $60000.00 - $80000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Duties:
Responsible for the timely servicing of an assigned group of clients and their employees.
Process enrollments, terminations, benefits changes, salary, and address changes as needed. Research and correct enrollment discrepancies and process retroactive changes.
Manage individual workload and follow through on assignments effectively and on time.
Support Employee Benefits Consultants during open enrollment and beyond, helping to guide and educate people about the fundamentals and benefits of the coverage they are eligible for and participate in.
Communicate professionally with business partners, clients, prospective clients, and their employees.
Serve as a liaison between clients' employees, insurance companies, and related service providers.
Travel to employer sites for servicing, enrollment, and education purposes when needed.
Effectively utilize multiple internal and external computer systems/programs to assist clients, prospective clients, and their employees, including selected HRIS platform(s) and Agency Management program(s), while following established
workflows/ documentation requirements.
Complete required Continuing Education and related processes to maintain state-specific insurance license(s). Participate in and be open to professional development opportunities to maintain the required skill level and industry knowledge.
Build positive relationships on an internal and external basis.
Work closely with the Employee Benefits team.
Assist with the development and production of proposals and review booklets.
Work on special projects as required.
Be accountable.
Responsibilities:

Consistently provides clients with actionable insights and guidance
Mentor future Account Managers
Effectively manage a book of business adherent to the most recent technology available
Coordinate renewals with clients and producers
Complete audits on auditable policies
Make arrangements for client premium financing or direct debit
Coordinates the preparation of and distribution of certificates and auto-identification cards
Education and Experience: One year experience in a work insurance setting or 60 hours of college coursework, an associate degree desirable.
Related Experience: Accident & Health insurance license required within 3-6 months of hire, unless already licensed.
