Account Manager, New Business (Midmarket)

We’re seeking a high‑energy New Business Account Manager who thrives on opening doors, winning competitive deals, and building customer relationships from scratch. In this role, you’ll own the acquisition of midmarket customers, win business away from competitors, and introduce Ricoh’s solutions as smarter, more impactful ways to solve real business challenges.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own net‑new customer acquisition across an assigned midmarket territory.
  • Identify, target, and win customers currently using competitor solutions.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and marketing‑generated leads.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer goals, pain points, and digital transformation priorities.
  • Position Ricoh’s solutions as differentiated, outcome‑driven alternatives.
  • Present compelling solutions to decision‑makers, both virtually and in person.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to design and close competitive opportunities.

How Success Is Measured:
  • Net‑new logo acquisition.
  • KPI’s include: appointments, opportunities, proposals and orders.
  • New business revenue vs. quota.
  • Pipeline creation and coverage.
  • Expansion and share‑of‑wallet growth within new accounts.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of new business sales experience in a hunting role.
  • Demonstrated success winning competitive deals.
  • Experience selling IT hardware and similar transactional type products.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling approach.
