We are seeking a highly experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of community associations throughout New Jersey. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Boards of Directors, owners, and key stakeholders and is responsible for overall operational oversight, financial review, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management.
The ideal candidate is CMCA certified, possesses 10+ years of community association or property management experience, and is capable of managing complex portfolios with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison to Boards of Directors, ownership groups, and residents
Prepare for and attend Board, annual, and special meetings
Oversee day-to-day property operations and vendor performance
Conduct routine property inspections and ensure timely follow-through on action items
Review and approve invoices, contracts, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
Ensure compliance with governing documents and all applicable New Jersey laws and regulations
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, capital improvement projects, and emergency response efforts
Collaborate closely with internal accounting, maintenance, and administrative teams
Provide strategic guidance to Boards regarding operations, budgeting, and long-term planning
Required Qualifications
CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) certification – Required
Minimum of 10 years of property management or community association management experience
Strong knowledge of Board governance, budgeting, and fiduciary responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and priorities
Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to properties and meetings throughout New Jersey
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills
Work Environment & Expectations
Field-based with regular travel to managed properties and meetings
Ability to respond to urgent issues outside of standard business hours as needed
