About the Role

A leading provider of airline catering and onboard services is seeking an experienced Account Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager for airline customers at a busy airport catering facility.

This is not a sales position. Instead, you'll act as the main point of contact for assigned airline accounts, ensuring operational excellence, resolving issues quickly, and coordinating with multiple internal departments to deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and attention to detail are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between airline customers and internal operations teams
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and problem resolution
  • Respond with urgency to customer concerns, coordinating solutions across departments
  • Ensure flights depart on time by supporting operational execution and customer requirements
  • Coordinate customer visits, operational meetings, menu presentations, and special projects
  • Monitor customer specifications and communicate updates to internal teams
  • Track customer feedback, quality scores, delays, and service performance
  • Ensure accurate customer billing, provisioning, inventory levels, and equipment accountability
  • Support operational departments during schedule and service changes
  • Partner with Quality teams to ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, and company standards
  • Assist culinary leadership with customer presentations and chef table events when needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, customer service, operations, hospitality, logistics, airline, food service, or a related field
  • Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to resolve customer issues while maintaining professionalism and urgency
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting high-volume operational environments
  • Background in airline, catering, hospitality, food production, logistics, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Familiarity with quality, safety, or regulatory compliance programs is a plus

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs
  • Flexibility to support airline operations in a 24/7 environment is preferred
