This is a Full Time, Exempt position - working on the road covering Northern New Jersey, including: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, Warren

Hours: Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends as necessary

Salary: $60,000 annually plus Commission

On target earnings: $125, 000 - $130,000 annually

Position Summary

Kushi Labs, LLC, a leader in the cannabis industry, is seeking an Account Manager / Sales Representative to join our team. This role is designed for a sales professional who is eager to learn, ready to build strategic relationships, and expand market share.

As a key member of the sales team, the Account Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts, increasing revenue in assigned territories, and helping elevate the Kushi Labs brand across a growing market. As an early-stage startup enterprise, the candidate will need to be able to work independently in a super-fast paced environment with support and help along the way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Sales Management: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the designated territory or region.

Account Growth & Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with dispensaries, retailers, and other key accounts. Leverage expertise to identify opportunities for account growth, retention, and new business acquisition.

Product Promotion & Education: Lead product presentations, tastings, and educational sessions to ensure customers are well-versed in the features, benefits, and compliance aspects of Kushi Labs products. Drive customer engagement and satisfaction through tailored product recommendations.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure sales campaigns, promotional activities, and product offerings align with the market’s needs and enhance brand visibility.

Sales Reporting & Market Insights: Provide regular sales updates and performance metrics. Offer market feedback, competitor insights, and customer preferences to help refine product and sales strategies.

Industry Networking & Representation: Represent Kushi Labs at industry trade shows, events, and conferences. Build a network within the cannabis industry to foster partnerships and stay ahead of industry trends.

Compliance & Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about evolving cannabis regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends. Ensure that all sales activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.

 Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in account management or outside sales, with a proven ability to manage complex accounts and deliver on sales targets. Experience in the cannabis industry or related sectors is preferred but not required.

Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets, grow existing accounts, and successfully manage customer relationships at all levels.

Expert Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate product benefits and industry knowledge effectively to diverse customer groups.

Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Comfortable working independently, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Territory Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously across a designated territory or region.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with cannabis products, industry regulations, and compliance requirements is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance carrier standards is required.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
  • Ability to travel within the Northern New Jersey area.
