FM’s San Francisco Operations (Walnut Creek, CA.) has an opening for an Account Manager in our Client Service Department. This position will perform insurance servicing and underwriting activities on existing accounts and new business. This position's primary function is to serve as the account team leader or manager of the account. Serve as key/primary interface with clients/brokers on all aspects of the account including insurance products and services, engineering, and claims services.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and brokers to successfully build long-term customer dedication to FM, including substantial number of face-to-face meetings with senior client personnel.
  • Leading an Account Team to support the strategic goals and objectives of our clients by providing professional advice and consultation on insurance coverage and risk management matters.
  • Ensuring stability by retaining existing customers at equitable terms and conditions using FM's significant insurance capacity in conjunction with our risk management expertise to improve client risk quality and selling additional product lines as appropriate.
  • Work closely with New Business Development Executives on new prospects within the Client Service process, contributing high quality underwriting expertise to win new client accounts.
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing company underwriting guidelines and standards in the daily management of assigned clients.
  • Implementing global insurance placement programs for our clients.
  • Demonstrate our dedication to continuous improvement by effective engagement of our clients in our Client Service Process and ensuring clients are aware of our full range of products and services.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA, CPCU or ARM a plus!
  • 5+ years industry experience in servicing and underwriting large property accounts of varying occupancies.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding loss prevention risk engineering information.
  • Demonstrated efficiency at accessing and influencing the decision maker.
  • Strong familiarity with FM's client service process preferred!
  • Solid understanding of property insurance and forms, financial statements, general loss prevention engineering terms and concepts.
  • Demonstrated above average ability in organization, problem solving, sales/negotiation, leadership and team building skills.
  • Knowledge of internal systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, presentational and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with considerable attention to detail.

The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
