Responsibilities
Develop new business through outside sales efforts, including telemarketing and community outreach
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate coverage options
Conduct client consultations to explain policy features, benefits, and coverage options clearly and effectively
Negotiate policy terms and premiums to meet both client needs and company guidelines
Manage sales administration tasks using CRM systems and other software tools to track leads, quotes, and policy details
Stay informed about current insurance regulations, industry trends, and product offerings to provide accurate advice
Assist clients with benefits administration, claims processes, and policy renewals
Skills
Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing within the insurance industry or related fields
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close sales effectively
Excellent communication skills—bilingual abilities are a plus—capable of engaging clients across diverse backgrounds
Customer relationship building expertise with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
Knowledge of health insurance, life insurance, property casualty insurance, commercial insurance products, and related regulations
