Account Support Manager – Full-Time (Exempt) GNCO, Inc. | Independence, OH Reports To: Senior Account Manager, Lead Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off JOB SUMMARYThe Account Support Manager (ASM) plays a vital role in supporting client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of fleet management services. This position is responsible for managing supplier interactions, resolving issues, and driving operational success across assigned accounts. The ASM collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance the overall client experience. This role also includes mentoring team members, building processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives. T ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Support the Account Manager in monitoring and improving client fleet operations.
- Recommend process improvements and cost-saving strategies aligned with industry best practices.
- Develop and analyze reports that highlight key performance indicators and fleet efficiency.
- Serve as the primary contact for OEMs and service suppliers, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Resolve supplier-related issues using critical thinking and effective communication.
- Participate in client meetings to align on goals, provide updates, and offer strategic recommendations.
- Deliver training and support to suppliers based on client-specific needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong internal networks to support client and supplier needs.
- Represent supplier perspectives internally and advocate for practical, client-focused solutions.
- Maintain organized and accessible records of all communications and activities.
- Track and update account-related tasks in Monday.com, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
- Capture clear and comprehensive notes during meetings to support follow-through and accountability.
- Communicate team capacity and workload distribution to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Support Account Coordinators and Account Managers in both daily operations and long-term initiatives.
- Develop subject matter expertise in material handling to enhance client service.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE - Three to five years of experience in account management, supplier/vendor relations, or client services, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience in fleet management, logistics, or material handling industry highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and resolving complex issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and project management tools like Monday.com and SharePoint preferred.
