The job of "Account Technician" is done for the purpose/s of providing, under supervision, support to accounting functions; processing accounts payable, payroll; complying with district financial obligations; providing financial information, instructions and/or support to other personnel; ensuring that District revenues are within budget and allocated accordingly; and providing financial services and processing of financial functions on a timely basis.

Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent, preferably supplemented with higher-level accounting courses. Typing test of 45+ wpm, dated within 3 months. Current Resume. Application must be completed in full. Resume will not be accepted in lieu of completed application.

8.00 hours per day, 261 days per year at the District Office. Successful applicants must obtain and/or provide the following before beginning employment: Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI Proof of Tuberculosis clearance Social Security Card for payroll purposes Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Employment with the Bear Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY? Due to the high volume of applications received, Bear Valley Unified School District requests that you do not contact the Human Resources office regarding the status of your application. Applications will be carefully reviewed and those with the most appropriate education, experience, and training will be contacted to continue in the process. If it is determined that you will not be moving forward, you will receive a regret email. If you meet the minimum requirements for this position, you will be contacted with an invitation to test on June 10, 2026, by e-mail. A passing score of 70% or better on the examination is required to be placed in the eligibility pool for interviews.
