Waste Connections is searching for an Account Payable/Account Receivable Clerk to join our team in SouthAustin, TX!

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to interact with varying levels of employees and vendors, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to provide support in accounting. Duties and Responsibilities

Coverage & Support:Temporarily fill in for absent accounting staff

Transactional Processing:Execute day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), Collections.

Adaptation:Quickly learn new operational workflows, software programs, and departmental procedures as assignments rotate

Experience:Typically 1–3+ years of general bookkeeping or staff accounting experience.

Software Proficiency:Microsoft Excel.

Flexibility & Problem Solving:High tolerance for shifting priorities and the ability to seamlessly resolve complex accounting discrepancies.

Communication:Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to collaborate with multiple, varied teams and management

Job Requirements:

+ Attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking skills.

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team setting.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ 3+ year of Accounts Payable experience.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word is a must).

+ 10-Key knowledge and skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent
