Staff / Senior Accountant (Contract)
Torrance, CA | 100% Onsite | $50/hr
3–6 Month Contract | Potential Contract‑to‑Hire
We are partnering with a growing organization in Torrance, CA to support a contract accounting need within their accounting and finance team. This opportunity is open to Staff/Senior Accountants who are comfortable working in an operational, high‑volume environment.
This role is ideal for accounting professionals who enjoy being close to the data, supporting month‑end close, and pitching in where needed to keep the accounting function running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and analysis
• Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and close‑related tasks
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Enter, scan, and process invoices (mail is received onsite)
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records
• Provide support for special projects and ad hoc reporting as required

Qualifications

• Prior experience in accounting roles such as Staff/Senior Accountant
• Strong background in:
  • Reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Month‑end close
• Willingness to handle some transactional accounting work (AP/AR, invoice processing)
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a hands‑on, onsite environment
• Ability to commit to 5 days per week onsite in Torrance, CA
