Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR Bachelors degree to include 9 semester credits in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR one year of satisfactory performance as an Accountant 1 in the County service is required; OR five years of Accounting experience may substitute for the required four years of college education.

Recruitment Notes

This position will reside in the Compliance Management Division of the Miami Dade Water & Sewer Department. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for assessing the accuracy of connection charges to support the Departments water and sewer infrastructure needs, including reviewing current workflows to identify inefficiencies and enhance the effectiveness of the Water and Sewer Department operations within the divisions sections.

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for assisting the Management Service section, whose primary goal is to recover uncollected connection charges owed to the Department. This position will be tasked with assisting in interpreting, developing, and enforcing Miami-Dade Countys Code of Ordinances related to water and sewer service delivery.
